Original Abbot-Downing Mud Wagon

During the restoration process we found the following markings. The most prominent marking was the serial number (9727) that was found on the ends of all four spindles the inside of all four axle nuts, the king pin, the castor plate. Along with the serial number being proudly stamped all over the coach, we also found the two blacksmith’s names- the step maker was (C.H.Abbott) and the blacksmith that crafted the gear was found on the hammer strap (J.A. Gervais).
