Without wheels to constrict their fancy, they could execute the design in a harmony of gracefully flowing lines. Below are examples of sleighs we have restored. Either you can provide a sleigh, or you can choose one of our sleighs in stock to refurbish. Albany Sleighs Below are the two and four passenger Albany sleighs, the two seater is an Albany cutter and the four passenger is an Albany shifting seat sleigh. The body of these sleighs are referred to swell or swan bodies. These are more elegantly designed sleighs with scrolled paint and plush upholstery.
Four Passenger Sleigh “We have 3 vehicles that were restored by Hansen Wheel & Wagon Shop. We have used them for pleasure driving and in parades and have had many compliments where ever we have exhibited our vehicles.”
Restored Bob Sleigh This is a unique sleigh with independent front and rear bobs. Also there is a 5th wheel on this sleigh for steering. Most sleighs had spring suspensions instead.
Portland Door Cutter This s a single seater with doors to give more protection from the elements. Also there is a lap rope to use as a foot warmer.
Bob Sled Here is a city drey freight hauling bob sled. Sled's were used for commercial use instead of personal like sleighs. This particular sled was replicated for the Wells Fargo Bank History Museum in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
