Introducing the Rave Frame Prairie Schooner Covered Wagon—a rare gem from the 1860 era, discovered in a barn and preserved with its original character intact.

We rarely find wagons of this era and patina! This extraordinary find showcases an authentic vintage patina that evokes the spirit of the pioneer trails.

This wagon boasts rave frame construction and traditional mortice and tenon joinery, exemplifying the craftsmanship of its time. While over a century old, it remains remarkably sturdy, though it bears the marks of its journey with some blemishes.

The original sideboards were missing so we added a pair of period sideboards as well as new standard wagon bows.

Its running gear exhibits cast steel skeins reminiscent of wagons dating back as early as 1856. The tall wheels, adorned with 2” wide iron tires and ½ round hub bands, maintain the authentic profile of the era.

Packed with period-specific features, including banded rear hounds and bolster band, a box brake, stapled clips, a captured rear tailgate, and finely shaped chamfers.

Complete with a pole, double tree, and wagon canvas cover, the Rave Frame Prairie Schooner Covered Wagon is more than a relic—it's a piece of living history, ready to adorn your collection or transport you back to the pioneer days.

Question: How do you ship this vehicle to me?

Answer: We coordinate shipments of large freight items - such as our wagons, carriages, and coaches - within a network of private carriers so that your freight is safely transported to your destination without transfer. These are usually coordinated as partial loads in order to save costs, so it can take anywhere between 2 days to 2 weeks to find a ride. They will be transported in enclosed vans that vary from "U-Haul" size box vans to full 53' semi trailers. Contact us for more information and freight quotes. You may also arrange your own shipping through

Question: How do I offload this vehicle at delivery?

Answer: If you have a delivery location with a loading dock available this is your best option. However, we can also deliver to any location that a semi-trailer can access. We then recommend coordination with a towing service to use a tilt-bed wrecker truck. The vehicle can be rolled off the trailer on to the bed of the wrecker truck and it will be tilted/lowered down to the ground from there.
