Hansen Wheel & Wagon Shop Return Policy
It is important to us that our customers are satisfied with their purchase. If you have concerns about the quality of any of our products, we encourage you to contact us so we can assist you. Hansen Wheel & Wagon Shop stands behind its products and craftsmanship.
1. General Return Policy (Stock Merchandise)
Eligible stock merchandise may be returned within 60 days of confirmed delivery date for a refund (less a 15% restocking fee) or exchange.
To be eligible for return:
- Items must be unused, uninstalled, unmodified, and in resalable condition
- Items must be free of wear, dirt, damage, or alteration
- Items must include all original packaging, parts, and documentation
- Returns must be approved in advance (Return Authorization required)
Customers are responsible for reviewing and confirming all order details, including quantities, dimensions, specifications, and shipping information prior to purchase.
Refunds are issued as:
- Refund less 15% restocking fee
- Original shipping and handling charges are non-refundable
- Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless Hansen Wheel & Wagon Shop determines the return is due to shipment of an incorrect item compared to the order confirmation or a verified manufacturing defect.
- Shipping costs on exchange items are additional
2. Return Coordination
We ask that customers contact Hansen Wheel & Wagon Shop prior to returning any items so we can assist with proper return handling and processing. This helps ensure returns are received, inspected, and credited efficiently. Please contact us at:

3. Refused Shipments
Orders refused at delivery for reasons other than documented shipping damage or Hansen Wheel & Wagon Shop error will be treated as a return. Company error is defined strictly as shipment of an incorrect item not matching the original order confirmation, or a manufacturing defect verified by Hansen Wheel & Wagon Shop.
In such cases, the customer is responsible for:
- Original outbound shipping charges
- Return freight charges
- Applicable 15% restocking fee
Refunds will only be processed after the returned merchandise is received and inspected.
4. Custom, Special Order, and Made-to-Order Items
The following items are not returnable or refundable:
- Custom orders
- Custom-sized items
- Special order items
- Made-to-order products
These items are only eligible for return or replacement if:
- We made an error in the order, or
- The item is confirmed defective due to manufacturing issues
5. Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
Hansen Wheel & Wagon Shop stands behind the quality of its products.
If you believe your item is defective or damaged:

- Provide photos of the item, packaging, and any visible damage
Damage caused by misuse, improper installation, modification, neglect, or normal wear is not considered a manufacturing defect.
All returned items are subject to inspection before any refund, replacement, or credit is issued.
6. Shipping Damage Claims
6A. Standard Parcel Shipping (UPS/USPS/FedEx)
If damage occurs during parcel delivery:
- Inspect all packages upon delivery
- If damage is visible, take clear photos before opening when possible
- Retain all packaging materials and contents
- Report damage to Hansen Wheel & Wagon Shop immediately
- Keep all packaging, as carriers may require inspection during claim processing
Failure to retain packaging, provide documentation, or report damage promptly may limit or void carrier claim eligibility.
6B. Freight Shipments (LTL / Large Items)
Freight deliveries must be inspected at time of delivery.
- All damage must be clearly noted on the Bill of Lading (BOL) before signing
- If damage is not noted on the BOL at delivery, the shipment is considered accepted in good condition
- Photographs of any visible damage must be taken at time of delivery
- All packaging materials must be retained until the claim is fully resolved
- The carrier may require physical inspection of packaging and product before approving a claim
If the BOL is signed without noting damage, or required documentation is not provided, the freight carrier may deny the claim. In such cases, Hansen Wheel & Wagon Shop may be unable to recover losses, and replacement or repair costs may become the responsibility of the customer.
7. Return Instructions
To return an item:
- Ensure it meets all return eligibility requirements
- Securely package the item using appropriate protective materials
- Include a copy of the original order paperwork
- Ship using a carrier that provides proof of delivery

8. Processing Time
Please allow up to 14 business days after receipt for return processing.
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
9. The following are not eligible for return
- Used items or items not in original condition
- Items missing parts or packaging
- Custom, special order, or made-to-order items
- Items damaged due to customer use or handling after delivery
