Although these sturdy stagecoach wheels were in usable condition, they had been replaced on the stagecoach at some point in the life of the stagecoach. Our client opted for us to rebuild them using new wood so that the wheels would match the replicated running gear of the stagecoach. While we were at it, we adjusted the profile of the hub slightly along with the widths of the metal hub bands so that they were more in keeping with the original wheel design of this style of stagecoach. We finished both the wheels and the running gear using a warm tone stain finish allowing the natural wood to show through.
