Not all wheel restorations warrant a complete rebuild. In this particular case, the wheel on this historic Newton farm wagon was only deteriorated on the side that was closest to the ground. The hub was still solid enough to "build on" and the spokes were still tight in the hub. We opted to replace the felloe on half of the wheel along with the spokes in that area. In keeping with the historic appearance of the wagon, we used a stain blend to tone the new wood to match the existing paint color.
