At the heart of the wagon is a 1934 Montgomery Ward Valor wood cook stove, fully intact and ready to serve up hearty meals just as it did nearly a century ago. The interior features a custom mattress and curtains, offering comfort and privacy.
A sliding period oil lamp provides authentic illumination, while a white enamel water bucket and wash basin, wooden water butt with enamel ladle, and black enamel kettle round out the daily essentials.
You'll also find a period coffee grinder, coffee percolator, nesting saucepans, and a full set of period-appropriate kitchen utensils and silverware—everything needed to bring the cookhouse feel to the range.
The wagon’s canvas cover and end pieces were replaced in 2024, ensuring durability and protection from the elements. Structurally and cosmetically, the wagon is in excellent condition, with no known damage and all components intact.
Whether you’re looking to enrich a historic site or create an immersive guest experience this sheep wagon stands ready to serve.
