Use a scale ruler to convert measurements to full size or use to make detailed wagon models. Union Oil, Standard Oil and many other petroleum firms once hauled their products in horse-drawn tank wagons, carrying coal oil for lamps and stoves, and axle grease and machine oil to the livery stables for the conditioning of wagons and carriages.
Wagons of this kind, and similar ones for water and sprinkling systems, were built by several manufacturers; the best known was Studebaker Brothers. This plan is a scanned copy of an original by Ivan Collins. Please note that there are some areas that are very faint (see third photo).
