This wheel kit is ideal for use in building vending carts, display carts or other commercial uses.

Sturdy bolt hub wheels come with axle and axle brackets (optional). Choose from 24" or 30" wheels with rubber tires. Standard axle lengths come in two sizes: for 30-32" wide cart body, or 34"-36” wide cart body.

The cart kit includes two, 12-spoked wheels (built of solid hickory), with a black cast iron, flush hub. The 1” round steel axle has bushings included on each end.

They are threaded for a nut and then capped with a threaded dust cap. Order the optional bracket and all installation hardware is included along with installation sheet. Rubber tires add 1 1/2" to the overall diameter.

Recommended maximum weight capacity: 350 lbs per pair of wheels.

Wheels are sold with raw (unfinished) wood and steel.

  • Question: Do I need to put a bushing in these wheels?
    • Answer: No, the wheel rotates directly on the axle spindle with a straight bore to accomodate the axle as-is.
  • Question: My axle is rotating. What should I do?
    • Answer: The axle should be fixed tightly so that the wheel will rotate on the axle spindle. It will need lubrication so that the wheel turns freely on the axle.

To resolve this, remount the axle to the cart tightly, then remove the wheels from the spindle and do the following:

      1. If you have a metal hub you can lubricate the spindle and washers with motor oil or grease. If the wood hub wheel rides directly on the spindle you use beeswax/candle wax/paste wax, or even Vaseline.
      2. Replace the wheel on the spindle without the retaining nut, assure that the wheel spins freely.
      3. Adjust the fit of the nut to the point of just starting to add friction to the rotation of the wheel. Do not completely tighted against the wheel, the wheel must spin freely on the spindle.
      4. The axle must not turn in the clamp.
      5. Reapply lubricant as needed on a regular schedule

    Vendor Cart Wheels Kit

Posted by Will on Feb 7th 2022

"The vendor cart wheels that we picked up from Hansen were absolutely perfect for our mobile bar cart "Rosie". Leah at Hansen was super helpful and not only made sure that we had the right wheels for the project but even had her shop customize the length of the axle for us so that it would be a whole lot less work on our side when they arrived. Absolutely excellent customer service and an awesome product too!! I totally recommend Hansen."
